IEEE ComSoc Student Career Fair at GC 2024

Are you looking to take your career to the next level? Then you won't want to miss the 2024 IEEE Communications Society Student Career Fair co-located at the IEEE Global Communications Conference (8-12 December 2024), in Cape Town, South Africa.

This event is FREE and open to students only. Registration will open in mid-late Q3 2024. Note: The Mentoring Session in the afternoon will be open to Students and Young Professionals.

This event will allow you to meet and potentially interview with employers about current and future job openings. Our participating companies will also provide training sessions on important professional skills, including resume writing, interview strategies, and other soft skills you need to kickstart your future.

Special Program: Mentoring Program Session

This session is open to Students and Young Professionals.

This Mentoring Session is organized jointly by Women in Communications Engineering (WICE) and Young Professionals (YP) of IEEE Communications Society Membership and Geographic Activities Council (MGA-C). This will feature invited mentors with diverse backgrounds to speak on mentoring. The program would expose participants (both mentors and mentees) to benefits such as supporting career development, expanding professional network, further developing skill set or competency, seeing another person’s perspective, sharing knowledge and experiences, and enhancing a personal brand.

Interview Opportunities with Participating Organizations

About 1-2 weeks before the event, attendees will receive a questionnaire to gauge their interest in meeting with our participating organizations. Our team will help set up interviews with the companies based on their availability. Prior to the event, you will receive an email with the confirmed appointments.

Interviews will be conducted on the day of the Career Fair and up to two days following the event. Details will be provided shortly.
